A Message from Chairman, Dr. Narpat Solanki

In the pursuit of making a difference to the visually challenged…
Dear Friends,
Thank you for taking time to visit our website.
Established in 2001, Project Drishti is a not for profit organization which has been dedicatedly serving the poor by helping them restore eyesight at free of cost.
Project Drishti envisages to transform and sustain quality vision-care in India and beyond for generations to come. Through a set of strategic donor-centred and community-focused philanthropy initiatives, we ensure that doctors, associates, patients, friends and donors come together to fund the greatest needs and specific opportunities of Project Drishti.
In seventeen years, Project Drishti has grown exponentially. Over the past two decades we have screened more than 2,000,000 across India with the support from various government organizations, NGOs, schools and other public sector institutes.
We are grateful to be backed by an incredible group of passionate people with a zeal for making a difference to our vision and mission. Our managing committee sets a very positive tone for the organization and their passion for service is always apparent. Our staff works tirelessly to help vulnerable citizens from accessing high-quality eye-care they need. We have incredible collaborating partners in the eye-care community and beyond – locally and across the globe who help us accomplish more than we could ever achieve on our own. Finally, we have generous funders and supporters who believe in our work and who allow us to have a meaningful impact on so many people’s lives.
I am also pleased to share with you that, we are now expanding our scope of services beyond vision care to general health for which we have purchased an acre of land in Chikkaballapura town to construct a 100-bed general hospital. Chikkaballapura is about 60 km from Bangalore and is significantly drought-prone and economically backward district. The hospital will provide both Ayurvedic and Allopathic treatments to facilitate the much-needed health care along with vision care services to the low and middle-income strata – especially women and children in the region.
As Chairman of the Project Drishti initiative, I feel duty bound to embrace its philanthropic mission and vision of helping to provide access to quality vision care for all members of the weaker sections of the community. Please help continue the generous philanthropic legacy by joining me on this journey to help advance the delivery of quality eye-care services across India and beyond for generations to come. We are thankful to be in a position to address these needs and help ensure each person irrespective of their socio-economic status has the best opportunity to live a productive life.
Thank you all for joining us to serve the needs of others!
